Countdown is designed with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains what information Countdown handles and how it is used.

Information stored in Countdown

Countdown allows you to create events, checklist items, links and file attachments.

This information is stored locally on your device. Countdown does not upload your events, checklist items, links or attachments to my servers.

Countdown does not currently provide account creation or cloud synchronisation.

Analytics and tracking

Countdown does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services.

Countdown does not track you across other apps or websites and does not contain third-party advertising SDKs.

File attachments

Files you add to Countdown are stored locally on your device and are used only to provide the features of the app.

These files are not uploaded to my servers.

Purchases

Countdown offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited event slots.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. I do not receive or store your payment card details.

Information relating to purchases may be processed by Apple in accordance with Apple's own privacy policies.

Support

If you contact me for support, I will receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your email address, the contents of your message, screenshots, screen recordings or other attachments you send.

This information is used only to respond to your enquiry, investigate problems and provide support.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry and any related follow-up.

Website

The Countdown website does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

When you visit the website, the server may process basic technical information necessary to deliver and operate the website. This may include your IP address, the page requested, the date and time of the request, and basic information supplied by your browser.

Server logs may be retained temporarily for security, reliability and troubleshooting purposes.

Cookies

The Countdown website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking.

Sharing of information

I do not sell your personal information.

I do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate Countdown or provide its services, such as Apple when processing App Store purchases.

I may also disclose information where required to do so by law.

Data retention and deletion

Information you create within Countdown remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app.

Because Countdown does not maintain an account or store your app content on my servers, I do not have access to your events, checklist items, links or file attachments and cannot recover them on your behalf.

Information provided directly through support requests is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support and deal with any related issues.

Server logs are retained only for operational, security and troubleshooting purposes and are not used to build profiles about visitors.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information that I hold about you, including the right to request access, correction or deletion of that information.

Because Countdown stores your app content locally on your device, most information created within the app can be managed or deleted directly by you.

If you have contacted me for support or otherwise provided personal information directly to me, you can contact me to make a privacy-related request.

Children

Countdown is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because Countdown does not require an account and does not transmit the content you create in the app to my servers, I do not knowingly collect information about the people using the app.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Countdown or the way information is handled.

When the policy is updated, the date at the top of this page will be changed.
